For feminists, the terms which are considered to be descriptive of men or women, masculine or feminine, are and should be equal. These terms consist of words like “strength, brave, aggressive, courageous, independent, tough skinned” for describing men and masculinity, and the words “emotional, passive, sensitive, nurturing, quiet” to describe women and femininity. To portray healthy masculinity, there should be a good balance between feminine traits and masculine traits. Together these terms can create a healthy person, regardless of the gender. A women can be masculine without having to feel like a man, and on the other hand, a man can be feminine without having to feel like a women.
