Mrs. Williams, the Assistant Director, helped guide us throughout our whole Action experience. With her experiences in her professional work, she was able to lead us in the right direction, giving us a successful outcome. In the beginning, she laid out our action by allowing us to have a booth at the Men's Health Symposium in the NIU Student Center, which was hosted by the NIU Women's Center. Once we knew that we were having a booth, we had to figure out the best way to reach the public. We were able to brainstorm and bounce off ideas with each other to reach our main goal we wanted to achieve with our action. She told us we had to challenge the public's masculinity in emotional, mental, and physical ways. Her guidance led us to find a way to challenge masculinity in a fun way. Which in the end led us to our video, poster, and high striker. Right before our action took place, she gave us some last minute advice on how to engage our audience and to expect some of the public to challenge our action. If it wasn't for her aid in the project, we wouldn't have been able to reach the public as well as we did.
